Harleblister
The Harleblister system is designed for color vision inspection, specifically for monitoring solid dose products during their packaging phase on blister thermoformers. Its primary function is to conduct various checks on pharmaceutical items to guarantee the highest quality for every blister produced by the equipment.
Harleblister - Accuracy is performance
A PC-based vision inspection system created to stand out
Harleblister, with its advanced proprietary algorithms, remains a leading vision system for inspecting the quality of blisters, suitable for both thermoforming and blister machines. It can efficiently check for product presence, shape, color, size, mix-ups, packaging integrity, and defects, among other features. Every product that goes under its cameras undergoes rigorous inspection, ensuring each blister meets a fully customizable set of acceptance criteria.
Switching between different work formats is a breeze with Harleblister. Its built-in wizard simplifies the display of intricate configuration options, guiding users through format creation without requiring any software coding knowledge. Additionally, the system can check codes and variable data imprinted on the product’s lidding foil, PQV on printed designs, and even manage multiple products within a single blister.
The HMI display provides real-time feedback on each product inspected, ensuring every unit is scrutinized. Any product that doesn’t meet the standards is automatically rejected by the vision system.
Harleblister’s user-friendly touchscreen interface ensures ease of use. To guarantee impeccable control tailored to each application, material, or machine setup, Harleblister incorporates the best mix of optical and LED lighting components.

Designed to boost performances
The Harleblister system utilizes cameras to capture images, which are then processed by a specialized software on an industrial PC. Each object's measurements are compared to reference standards. If any measurement falls outside the acceptable range, the system instantly sends a signal to the machinery, prompting the removal of the flawed blister. This ensures a precise inspection in mere milliseconds.
The system's swift processing speeds are attributed to its unique SIMD instructions, developed internally, and its advanced proprietary algorithms. These algorithms are built on the principles of spatial and temporal parallelism and are optimized to utilize all available threads in the latest CPUs. By leveraging the multiple virtual cores created by threads in a CPU, the system can execute several tasks simultaneously and more quickly.
Consequently, Harleblister's algorithms enhance their computational efficiency, leading to quicker image processing. This not only allows for more checks but also ensures the highest standards of inspection precision and safety.
The importance of good hardware
The system is equipped with state-of-the-art industrial computers that feature multicore and multithreaded processors. This ensures optimal processing speed and precision.
Components for optics and light units are meticulously designed and integrated to ensure optimal inspection. They seamlessly blend with the machine's mechanical design. With enhanced lighting control, the speed and precision of image capture are significantly improved.
The touch-screen displays offered come with an enhanced graphical interface that boosts user interaction and usability.
The system is tailor-made for the pharmaceutical sector and adheres to industry standards. User access is governed by FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 guidelines. The software logs all significant events in an audit trail, ensuring transparency in security-related actions.
